I said
to myself:
There’s got
to be some fool
out there who has
mapped a vast majority
of hits from the past 50
years and turned it into an
app to write chord progressions
with. Well, he might be out there,
but I didn’t find him. I became him.
8,000 chord progressions later and at least
1,000 hours of programming + a lot of help
from kind friends I’m finally ready to present the
ProChords App. The Idea is actually pretty simple.
An iPhone app to suggest chord progressions based on
an analysis of the world’s greatest songwriters from the 60′s
and up. I soon decided not to rely on circle of 5ths or similar theories,
I don’t want the straightforward solutions, I want to explore the unexpected!
And If a combination of chords works for one of the great songwriters, it might
work for you and me as well…(Even though it’s not in the circle of 5ths 
So try it out
- and write some great music!
